Duce was established in 1992 by Ian Duckworth, and the current Senior Partner, Michael Skuce, with the principle objective of offering a full range of accountancy, audit, taxation and associated services.

We aimed our services at private limited companies of all sizes and self employed individuals, with the emphasis of our approach being to understand and deliver a comprehensive personal service that our clients wanted at competitive rates. This ethos, which remains consistent within the practice, has proved successful, as we have grown from modest beginnings to a practice employing a number of professionally qualified staff to service a significant client base.

In 2007, the practice relocated to larger premises in Chorley to accommodate the generic growth and the acquisition of a taxation practice, which is now firmly established within the local business community, although we do act for clients nationwide.

We are committed to developing the practice further by the expansion of our portfolio from business start up services through to audit assignments by the provision and communication of our knowledge and experience to clients, both existing and potential.

We are also committed to the development of our staff, with all members of our accounting and audit team being either professionally qualified or studying towards qualification with our full support in our capacity as an accredited ACCA trainer.
